Legislative wins in Hartford

Unemployment Insurance 

NFIB’s efforts successfully included the use of federal money to replenish Connecticut’s depleted Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund.

Eliminated the Business Entity Tax 

NFIB led a successful fight to end the Business Entity Tax.

Tax Reform 

Any business’ personal property that is 10 years old and had an original value of less than $250 is exempt from the property tax.

Transportation Climate Initiative (TCI) 

NFIB successfully fought to stop TCI legislation that would have increased the fuel tax by up to 38 cents per gallon.
