NFIB Urges DeSantis to Continue COVID-19 Liability Protections for Health Care Providers
NFIB State Executive Director Bill Herrle released the following statement today on Senate Bill 7014, legislation that would renew COVID-19 liability protections for health care providers. The bill passed the House today 87-31:
“Florida’s health care providers are on the front lines when it comes to keeping everyone safe during this pandemic. That’s why we’re asking Governor DeSantis to sign this measure into law. It’s essential that we continue to protect providers from predatory trial lawyers trying to exploit the pandemic for economic gain.
“Our doctors and nurses and hospitals and clinics can’t be distracted from their mission of keeping the public well so they can continue to work and live their lives.”
