Radio and digital ads in Washington D.C. and key states
What it means: NFIB released new radio and digital ads in Washington, D.C. and several key states to urge members of Congress to permanently stop the invasive Beneficial Ownership mandate.
Our take: “In 2025, President Trump exempted more than 32 million American small businesses from the burdensome and unconstitutional BOI reporting requirements. This exemption saved American small businesses from over $128 billion in regulatory burdens and compliance costs, but the fight isn’t over. Now it’s time for Congress to ensure this invasive reporting mandate does not return,” said NFIB President Brad Close.
Take Action: Join NFIB members meeting with lawmakers during the NFIB Fly-In and amplify their message to permanently destroy Beneficial Ownership Information collected from small business owners!
NFIB launched new radio and digital ads in Washington, D.C. and key states urging lawmakers to permanently repeal the invasive Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) mandate. Last year, U.S. small businesses were exempt from filing, but millions of small business owners already filed since the deadline was approaching, and their data remains a security risk.
NFIB’s ad campaign is starting in Florida, New Jersey, Louisiana, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, South Dakota, and Washington D.C. Small business owners are also taking this issue directly to their lawmakers during the NFIB Fly-In this month.
Congress must destroy this unconstitutionally collected data and permanently repeal this harmful mandate so that it cannot return in a future administration. Visit ProtectSmallBusiness.org for further insight into the work NFIB and small business owners are doing to protect the personally identifiable information of 32 million small businesses.
Take Action: Amplify the voice of small business owners on Capitol Hill and tell Congress your concerns about storing your sensitive small business data.
