Small businesses saw success in 2025 on two top priorities. The 20% Small Business Tax Deduction became permanent, which prevented a massive tax hike for millions of small businesses, and U.S. small businesses were made exempt from reporting sensitive Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI), which was a significant security risk placed upon small business with grave civil and criminal penalties. The BOI fight is not over, and Congress must ensure long-term relief for small businesses.
Hear from NFIB President Brad Close on the Small Business Rundown for an update on the status of several critical bills that have gathered momentum in Congress and will reduce the financial and regulatory burden on small businesses. Highlights include BOI reporting, the Credit Card Competition Act, affordable health care options, and more.
