NFIB Ohio member Kelly Moore of Zanesville is the featured guest on Episode 6 of “Small Business Rundown,” NFIB’s national podcast. Moore, who owns NAPA Auto Parts stores in Zanesville, Dresden, and Coshocton, was interviewed about the cost of health care and how it’s affecting her employees. She flew to Washington last month to testify before the U.S. House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Health that medical insurance is still too costly and confusing for many small businesses. “Before the Affordable Care Act mandates were imposed, we paid 80% of the premiums for our employees and their dependents,” she told the committee. “However, every year after the enactment of the ACA, my insurance premiums increased by double digits.
