Virginia Lawmakers Need to Hear YOUR Voice NOW!

Supported by your voice, NFIB in Virginia has been advocating for your recovery during this legislative session and has seen several victories! After failing to get their work done during their 60-day window, lawmakers are currently in recess and are scheduled to return later this month.

You can find a link to the alert here.

This week, we need all hands on deck to help get over the finish line! Contact your elected officials and tell them to support tax relief to expand the standard income tax deduction, unemployment insurance reform, and a one year suspension of the gas tax! Now is the time to stand up for job creators and small businesses across the Commonwealth.

Legislators often cite the examples you share as key reasons for why they support or oppose a bill, so we strongly encourage you to customize your email. Write how this proposal might impact your business or your interactions with state-run projects.

Have you already sent an email to your elected officials? THANK YOU! Phone calls get even more attention! Enter your contact information below and your elected official’s phone number will populate. Here’s an example of what you can say:

“Hi, this is (Name) with (Business name) in (City). As your constituent and an NFIB member, I ask that you support tax relief, which includes expanding the standard income tax deduction, unemployment insurance reform, and a one year suspension of the gas tax. Small businesses need your support to create jobs and keep Main Street running. Thank you.”

After you call, please share with NFIB that you called by using the form that auto-populates or send a brief note to Jamie.Cobby@NFIB.org.
