2022 policy year safety training requirement About The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) requires Group and Group Retrospective Rating Program employers to complete two hours of safety training if they experienced a workers’ compensation claim between July 1, 2020, to September 30, 2021 (also known as “green period”). Safety training for the 2022 BWC policy year must be completed between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2023. NFIB and Sedgwick are currently offering the following webinars listed below to help you satisfy this BWC safety training requirement. Webinar Registration Enter in your web browser the above-listed registration web link or send an email to nfib2hourtraining@sedgwick.com with the date of the webinar you wish to attend at which time you will receive an email with the registration link for you to register. Finally, you will receive an email confirmation with a link to connect to the webinar on that day. A $25 fee will be invoiced to the registered email following the completion of the webinar. BWC Safety Training To fulfill the training requirement through BWC, you may also complete a BWC safety course. For more information, contact the BWC Division of Safety & Hygiene at www.bwc.ohio.gov. If you attend a BWC course, you are required to submit proof of completion to us. Certificates of completion, including your company name and BWC policy number, should either be emailed to nfib2hourtraining@sedgwick.com or faxed to 614.932.1507.
