TAKE ACTION: Tell Your Legislator to End Swipe Fees on Taxes & Tips

TAKE ACTION: Tell Your Legislator to End Swipe Fees on Taxes & Tips

March 3, 2025

Tell your lawmaker to support HB 1282 which would exclude sales tax and tips from costly swipe fees charged by credit card networks.

Costly credit card processing fees exacerbate the financial strain of Main Street, making it harder for employers to expand their operations, raise wages, and keep their costs competitive.

That’s why NFIB Colorado strongly supports HB 1282, the Swipe Fee Fairness and Consumer Safeguards Act. This bipartisan bill would protect small businesses and their employees from costly swipe fees on sales tax and tips.

Ask your lawmaker today to support HB 1282!
