Wildfire Tax Relief Still Available

NFIB reminds its members adversely affected by the recent wildfires that the Washington Department of Revenue is offering help with their taxes. “Businesses that are affected by the fire and cannot file and pay their excise tax returns on time should contact Revenue to request a filing extension before the filing deadline,” according to a department news release issued at the beginning of this month. “Revenue also can offer a penalty waiver for qualified businesses that were unable to file an extension request before the taxes were due.” More information can be found in the news release.
