The NFIB South Carolina PAC today endorsed 48 candidates for seats in the state General Assembly. The political action committee, which is comprised exclusively of NFIB members, endorsed 14 candidates running for state Senate and 32 running for seats in the House of Representatives.

“South Carolina’s economy is built on its small businesses,” NFIB State Director Ben Homeyer said. “Our members believe we must elect candidates who will work to maintain an environment where small businesses can grow, create jobs, and support their communities.”

Election Day is Nov. 5. Early voting is Oct. 21-Nov. 2. The deadline for applying for an absentee ballot is Oct. 25.

The NFIB South Carolina PAC’s endorsements are important to these campaigns. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB’s political support is based on the candidates’ positions and records on key small-business issues.
