Economic Emergency Disaster Loans Accessible to Upstate New York Business Owners Affected by Extreme Weather

Businesses impacted by extreme weather in July and August across upstate New York will now be eligible for disaster assistance loans. The Small Business Administration will offer loans for businesses to help ease financial burdens, as portions of New York state were hit with flooding, high wind, rain, and tornadoes this summer. These capital loans were created to help small businesses meet necessary financial obligations during disaster recovery. Eligible businesses can borrow up to $2 million over 30 years capped at four percent interest. Loans will be available to business owners in Cortland, Erie, Lewis, Ontario, Seneca, Tompkins, and Wyoming; and the contiguous New York counties of: Allegany, Broome, Cattaraugus, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Chemung, Chenango, Genesee, Herkimer, Jefferson, Livingston, Madison, Monroe, Niagara, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Schuyler, St. Lawrence, Steuben, Tioga, Wayne, and Yates counties.
