Small-Business PAC Endorses 30 Legislative Candidates

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Chad Heinrich, Arizona State Director, ch@chadheinrich.com or Tony Malandra, Senior Media Manager, anthony.malandra@nfib.org PHOENIX, July 11, 2022—The political action committee for Arizona’s leading small-business association today endorsed 30 legislative candidates ahead of the August 2 Primary Election, early voting for which began July 6. “All of our endorsed candidates have a proven record of standing strong for small business and have repeatedly voted in the Legislature to support free enterprise and local entrepreneurship” said Chad Heinrich, speaking for the NFIB Arizona PAC, which made the endorsements. “Twenty-seven of them, including senators running for House seats and representatives running for Senate seats, had 100% pro-small-business voting records during the 2021 and 2022 legislative sessions.” The remaining endorsements include three legislators (Teresa Martinez, District 16; Morgan Abraham, District 18; Lupe Diaz, District 19) who were recently appointed to fill vacancies and hit the ground running in support of small business issues. Last month, NFIB Arizona released its legislative voting record for the 2021 and 2022 sessions, which scored lawmakers from both houses on key votes to reduce income and property taxes, provide regulatory relief, and curb predatory litigation. “NFIB’s Arizona state voting record identifies the most important issues facing our Main Street businesses, and more importantly, evaluates which lawmakers back their rhetoric up with action,” stated Heinrich. After the Primary Election, the NFIB Arizona PAC will announce additional endorsements in advance of the November General Election.
