Oregon’s Small Business Community Endorses Alek Skarlatos

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. (Oct. 18, 2022) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, endorsed Alek Skarlatos for election to the United States House of Representatives to represent Oregon’s 4th Congressional District. The endorsement was announced at a campaign event hosted at NFIB member small business McKenzie Feed & Pet Supplies in Springfield.

“We are confident that Alek Skarlatos will be a pro-small business Member of Congress,” said Anthony K. Smith, NFIB Oregon State Director. “He understands how reckless government spending has made inflation worse, which is the top business problem for small business owners right now. Alek Skarlatos has pledged to support legislation that will create good-paying jobs, specifically for Oregon’s timber workers, fishermen, and small businesses. He will be a strong advocate for Oregon’s small businesses in Congress and we look forward to working with him.”

“Alek Skarlatos will be a dedicated small business ally in Washington,” said Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director. “He understands the challenges our members are facing and will be a reliable small business voice for them in Congress. We are pleased to endorse Alek Skarlatos today.”

The endorsement is issued from NFIB FedPAC, NFIB’s political action committee. NFIB FedPAC is funded by voluntary contributions by NFIB members over and above their membership dues. Decisions made by the NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member-driven grassroots evaluation.
