'There's still a lot of uncertainty'

State Director Jim Brown says the Optimism Index for October reflects the challenges facing many of the Tennessee’s Main Street businesses.

“Small business optimism may be looking up, but there’s still a lot of uncertainty among owners because of high prices, lackluster sales, and a lack of qualified workers heading into the holidays.”
