NFIB Survey Shows Strong Small Business Support for Amendment 2

NFIB State Director Gil White said today that small business owners in the state overwhelmingly support the Personal Property Tax Modernization Amendment, a proposed state constitutional amendment that would give the legislature constitutional authority to eliminate certain taxes on businesses that hold inventory or other assets such as vehicles.

A recent survey of NFIB members throughout West Virginia shows that 84% support Amendment 2, while 5% do not and 11% are undecided.

NFIB‘s position on public policy issues is determined solely by our members,” White said. “We ballot our members every year on the state and federal issues affecting their businesses, and, we reach out again when an important issue comes up, like Amendment 2. In this case, the voice of our members came through loud and clear. They support this proposed state constitutional issue.”
