NFIB Releases Small Business Scorecard of Colorado Legislators

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, released its biennial voting record for Colorado’s 74th General Assembly. The record includes 14 key votes on issues ranging from workforce development efforts to costly employer mandates.

While only one lawmaker, Rep. Mike Lynch (HD 65) who is an NFIB Small Business Owner Member, earned 100%, 10 members of the Senate and 17 other members of the House Representatives managed to earn scores above 80%.

“Though the General Assembly advanced a handful of reforms that support the small business economy, far too many bills that increase the cost of doing business were sent to Governor Pollis’ desk and signed into law,” NFIB State Director Tony Gagliardi said. “At a time when Coloradans can least afford higher prices, next session, the General Assembly ought to reverse course and ease the regulatory burden, so that Main Street can continue to create jobs, raise wages, and invest in our communities.”

The NFIB Voting Record does not reflect every element considered by a legislator when voting or represent a complete profile of the lawmaker. NFIB’s 2024 Voting Record included 14 key votes on issues ranging from workforce development to employer mandates.
