NFIB Radio, Digital Ads Urge Georgias to Vote YES on Referendum Question A

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, launched a radio and digital ad campaign today urging Georgians to vote YES on Referendum Question A.

The ballot question would relieve the financial pressure on small businesses by raising the threshold for paying taxes on tangible personal property (TPP).

“Georgia’s small businesses already pay sales taxes on equipment, desks, and other property. The tangible personal property tax means they must pay taxes on the same items year after year,” said NFIB State Director Hunter Loggins.

“Taxing small businesses again and again on the same equipment makes it harder for them to grow, create jobs, and support their communities,” he said. “Raising the threshold for this tax would help ease the financial pressure on employers struggling with rising costs due to inflation.”
