NFIB Launches Digital Ad Campaign Reminding Virginians to Vote & How to Vote Now Ahead of Election Day, November 7th

The National Federation of Independent Business Virginia PAC launched a statewide digital ad campaign reminding Virginians that they can vote early right now at satellite locations across Virginia, vote through the mail by requesting a ballot, or vote in person at their local precinct on election day, November 7. NFIB supports candidates who support small business.   “The importance of this election cannot be overstated,” said NFIB State Director Julia Hammond. “Small business owners are still grappling with hardships in the form of inflation and worker shortages, and remain pessimistic about the economy and the ability to grow sales in the future. Electing leaders who understand small business is vital to the state’s economy. Last year, owners received some financial help: after a month’s long stalemate, the legislature finally passed a budget, giving small businesses and taxpayers a few hundred dollars of their tax money back and increasing the amount they can deduct as business interest. However, it’s not enough. Virginia can’t handle another 6-month budget limbo. Small business owners can’t delay financial decisions because they would go out of business. The state should take care of their finances the same responsible way. Virginia needs leaders with experience managing budgets and making smart financial decisions. It’s critical Virginians vote for candidates who support our small businesses as our economy depends on mom-and-pop shops in the Commonwealth.”   The digital ads will connect Virginians to three informational pages, one for Northern Virginia, Central Virginia, and a third for the Hampton Roads area. There voters will find a summary of issues important to small businesses. You can also find a list of candidates endorsed by the NFIB Virginia PAC. The candidates were chosen by NFIB members and fellow small business owners across Virginia. The PAC endorsed 18 candidates for state Senate and 46 candidates for the House of Representatives.   You can vote right now at satellite locations or by mail by requesting a ballot. You have until October 27 and your request must be received by your local registration office by 5:00 pm.   From October 28 to November 4, you can vote at your local voter registration office. Election Day is November 7.
