NFIB Hosts Small Business Roundtable With U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan in Mansfield
NFIB hosted a small business roundtable with U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan today at Dan Lew Exchange/DLX in Mansfield.
Jordan spoke to NFIB members and other small business owners about a host of issues including the proposed Main Street Certainty Act.
The legislation is one of NFIB’s top priorities in Congress. If passed, it would provide much-needed certainty for Main Street businesses by making the small business tax deduction permanent.
The deduction allows pass-through entities such as sole proprietorships, S-corporations, partnerships, or LLCs to deduct up to 20% of qualified business income and is scheduled to expire at the end of 2025. Small businesses across the nation have benefited from this temporary tax deduction, using the funds to invest in employees, benefits, and their businesses.
“Congressman Jordan has always been a strong advocate for Ohio’s small businesses, and we thank him for being one of the early supporters of the Main Street Certainty Act in the House and also for taking time to talk to our members about the bill and other issues that are important to Ohio’s job creators,” NFIB State Director Chris Ferruso said.
