PHOENIX, Sept. 28, 2022—The political action committee for Arizona’s leading small-business association today announced its endorsement of Kari Lake for governor.

“Turning the campaign noise down allowed us to take a close look at the two candidates and where they stand on issues important to Main Street businesses. Without question, Kari Lake is the best choice for Arizona and our state’s small businesses,” said Chad Heinrich, Arizona state director for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) speaking for the NFIB AZ PAC, which made the endorsement.

“We admired Lake’s spirited claim to caring ‘about the local retired couple who poured their life savings into a restaurant and then had government take it away from them’ and regret there being nothing comparable from the Hobbs campaign. Additionally worrisome is Hobbs’s call for new and increased government spending and more new government programs while small businesses are pushing against so many economic headwinds. When we last asked, 70% of our membership could not identify one government agency, federal, state, or local, that has had a positive impact on their business.

“Kari Lake is small businesses’ choice for governor.”
