NFIB Congratulates New Michigan Speaker of the House Rep. Matt Hall

January 8, 2025

Small businesses will benefit from Rep. Hall’s leadership in the House

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), Michigan’s leading small business advocacy organization, issued the following statement from NFIB Michigan State Director Amanda Fisher on Rep. Matt Hall (R-42) being elected Speaker of the House:

“NFIB would like to congratulate Rep. Matt Hall (R-42) on being elected as Speaker of the House for the 103rd Legislature. Small business owners can breathe a sigh of relief now that Speaker Matt Hall is running the House. Over the past two years, then Leader Hall and the Republican Caucus have continually shown their support for small businesses by fighting against destructive policies that would harm small businesses and putting forth legislation that promotes free enterprise. As we move into the new legislative session, NFIB is grateful to continue its partnership with Speaker Hall and the new House majority and work together crafting public policy that will make Michigan a place where small businesses and their employees can thrive.”
