NFIB Applauds Small Biz Relief and Reform Package Advanced by PA Senators
NFIB, an association representing thousands of small and independently owned businesses in Pennsylvania, voiced its support for Prioritize PA: Small Businesses, a relief package advanced today by several members of the Pennsylvania State Senate.
“The success of our broader recovery and local economies across Pennsylvania depends upon the success and prosperity of our small businesses,” said Greg Biryla, an NFIB Senior State Director. “A year since the Pandemic was first declared, small businesses continue to navigate an unprecedented, unpredictable, and unforgiving landscape. The Prioritize PA: Small Businesses legislative initiative provides immediate relief for industries hit hardest, but also advances structural reforms to ease regulatory costs and increase new opportunities for small businesses across the Keystone State.”
The Prioritize PA: Small Businesses initiative announced at Lititz Springs Inn & Spa and The Bulls Head Public House in Lititz by Senators Ryan P. Aument (36th Senate District), Camera Bartolotta (46th Senate District), Judy Ward (30th Senate District) and Kristin Phillips-Hill (28th Senate District) includes:
- No-interest loans targeted to small businesses.
- Temporary relief from certain state licensing fees.
- Tax relief and reform that mirrors the federal government’s treatment of Net Operating Losses (NOLs) and allows property taxes to be deducted from corporate and personal income tax liability.
NFIB is a member-driven organization advocating on behalf of small and independent businesses nationwide.
