Michigan NFIB members gather to honor legislators receiving Guardian Awards & NFIB MI PAC's Endorsement of Tudor Dixon for Governor
Michigan NFIB members gathered in September to honor legislators receiving 2021-22 Guardian Awards and for the NFIB MI PAC Endorsement of Tudor Dixon for Michigan Governor.
“It was great to have a chance to talk with and thank those legislators who have gone above and beyond for small business this legislative session,” said Rodney Kloha, President, Circle K Service and MI Leadership Council Chair. “It is important that as small business owners, we actively engage with elected officials. NFIB does a great job of providing those opportunities.”
After enjoying breakfast and talking with legislators, NFIB Members were then able to greet Michigan Gubernatorial Candidate Tudor Dixon as the NFIB MI PAC made its official endorsement of her candidacy.
While announcing the endorsement, Amanda Fisher, MI State Director spoke on the importance of electing a new Governor. “Main street businesses are still recovering from the COVID-19 Pandemic and the glaring inequities in the way small businesses were treated by the Whitmer administration. This is why when balloted, 94% of our members indicated we should support Tudor Dixon.”
Accepting the endorsement, Ms. Dixon commented on the importance of eliminating unnecessary and costly regulations, getting away from tax breaks for large corporations, and cutting taxes to ease the burden on small business.
NFIB members who would like to be more engaged and attend events like this can contact Amanda Fisher, MI State Director or Liz Roe, Grassroots Manager for more information.
NFIB is a member-driven organization advocating on behalf of small and independent businesses nationwide.
