NFIB's FedPAC announced endorsement for Gov. Larry Hogan
FREDERICK, Md. (June 27, 2024) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, endorsed Governor Larry Hogan for election to the United States Senate to represent Maryland. The endorsement was announced at a campaign event at NFIB member and small business Van-Walker Woodworking in Frederick.
“Governor Larry Hogan is a long-time friend of small businesses, and we believe he will make an exceptional U.S. Senator,” said Mike O’Halloran, NFIB Maryland State Director. “As governor, he made it a priority to make Maryland a more business-friendly state by avoiding tax increases on small businesses and reducing burdensome and outdated regulations. He left office with a record surplus for the state and the biggest economic turnaround in the country. Governor Hogan has a strong understanding of the issues important to our members and has committed to focusing on their top priorities such as making the Small Business Deduction permanent. We look forward to continuing to work with him.”
“I’m proud to receive the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Business, which represents America’s small and independent business owners,” said Governor Hogan. “As a lifelong small business owner, I know that Maryland’s small businesses are getting squeezed by unaffordable inflation, overburdensome regulations, and new taxes on the horizon. They need a champion in Washington who will fight for them so they can grow jobs, cut prices, and get our economy moving. That is what I did as Governor, and that is what I will do in the United States Senate.”
“We are confident that Governor Larry Hogan will continue to be a reliable small business advocate in Congress,” said Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director. “His prior experience as a small business owner and Maryland governor will be a significant benefit in the U.S. Senate. We are proud to endorse him today.”
The endorsement is issued from NFIB FedPAC, NFIB’s political action committee. NFIB FedPAC is funded by voluntary contributions by NFIB members over and above their membership dues. Decisions made by the NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member-driven grassroots evaluation.
NFIB is a member-driven organization advocating on behalf of small and independent businesses nationwide.
