ICYMI: NFIB’s Webinar with New York State’s Workers’ Compensation Advocate

On Thursday, September 15th, NFIB in New York offered a free webinar on workers’ compensation, disability, and paid family leave with special presenter Walt Peretti, a Workers’ Compensation Examiner with the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board.

The webinar highlighted the Workers’ Compensation “Advocate for Business,” a great resource and liaison between New York’s business community and the Workers’ Compensation Board. The workers’ comp. business advocate provides employers one place to contact for answers to their workers’ compensation questions. Walt, one of the specialists who assists small businesses with their workers’ comp questions every day, shared helpful information and insights about what businesses need to know.

To learn more, NFIB members can view a recording of the webinar, and to contact the Workers’ Compensation Advocate for Business, call (877) 632-4996 or email AdvocateBusiness@wcb.ny.gov.
