Governor Lee Issues Right-to-Work Week Proclamation

On Tuesday, Gov. Bill Lee announced the week of March 6 is “Right-to-Work Week,” honoring the “Tennessee tradition” of 75 years that allows workers to decide whether they want to join a union or not.

Lee encouraged Tennesseans to support the ongoing Yes on 1 effort, noting “Amendment 1 will now appear on the Nov. 8, 2022, ballot, and passage thereof would enshrine right-to-work in the Tennessee Constitution.”

He added Yes on 1 “is an important measure that would protect right-to-work as a fundamental, constitutional right for generations of Tennesseans to come.

Many lawmakers showed their support throughout the week with news stories, statements and social media posts. NFIB thanks state leaders who are encouraging all Tennesseans to vote Yes on 1 in November and to protect workplace freedom for generations.
