Here's what you need to know about voting in the May 21 primary

Early Voting is Underway in the GA Primary

Early voting is underway in the May 21 Georgia primary. It began on April 29 and runs through Friday, May 17.
The deadline for requesting an absentee ballot is May 10. Absentee ballots must be postmarked by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
By law, runoff elections are required for congressional, state executive, and legislative races when no candidate receives a majority of the vote. If that happens, the top two finishers in the primary will advance to the runoff, which will be held on June 18.
The winners of the primary will square off in the General Election on Nov. 5.
