Big Environmental Bill Surfaces Late in Session

With the 2023 session of the Colorado General Assembly scheduled to adjourn May 8, suspicion is naturally aroused when a bill is introduced just last week, April 13—and not just any bill. House Bill 1294 has a huge environmental appetite, spanning 19 sections and 39 pages. It aims to take big steps to clean up what it believes is Colorado’s deteriorating environmental quality. But in so doing, will it trample on anything? NFIB State Director Tony Gagliardi invites members to examine the legislative proposal and send him your thoughts, so he may prepare the right responses to the initiative.
