State lawmakers can help by holding firm and opposing legislative bills that will increase the cost of doing business.
PHOENIX (Jan. 8, 2024) – Ahead of Governor Katie Hobbs’ State of the State address, NFIB State Director Chad Heinrich called on state lawmakers to pump the brakes before increasing the government’s role in regulating the livelihoods of Arizonans.
“State lawmakers can help by holding firm and opposing legislative bills that will increase the cost of doing business. Let’s hold out hope in this new year that our elected leaders will look out for the everyday working folks that own and operate small businesses. As I’ve said before, hesitate before you regulate. Running a small business is a challenge today as it’s always been, rising prices and the persistent labor shortage make all other challenges even more difficult. Preventing government from making our lives worse may be a realistic hope for the new year.”
