Legislative wins in Boston

Funds for Unemployment Insurance (UI)  

NFIB pushed lawmakers to use a portion of the Federal American Rescue Plan Act funds to help replenish the UI Trust Fund.

Transportation Climate Initiative  

NFIB helped lead opposition to the Transportation and Climate Initiative, defeating a costly proposal estimated to raise fuel costs by up to 38 cents per gallon.

PPP Taxes  

NFIB led the fight to ensure no Massachusetts small business faced state taxes on their forgiven Paycheck Protection Program loans.

Estate Tax

NFIB strongly supported the effort to double the estate tax exemption to $2 million and eliminate the cliff effect.
