2024 Small Business Challenges in the Hawaii State Legislature

May 23, 2023

Bills that failed to advance in 2023 are still alive the next year of the biennial session

As 2023 was the initial year of the biennium, any bill that failed to advance through the Legislature will persist into 2024. NFIB’s legislative team will continue to engage with lawmakers and discuss pertinent small-business issues, including:

  • the minimum wage
  • paid sick and family leave
  • equal pay
  • online privacy/security
  • visitor impact bills
  • commence preparations
