105 AL Legislators Achieve 100% NFIB Voting Records for 2023-24

NFIB State Director Rosemary Elebash said today that 105 Alabama legislators—31 members of the state Senate and 74 members of the House—achieved 100% NFIB Voting Records for 2023-24. “Our voting record is meant to show constituents whether their legislators support Alabama’s job creators, and this year’s voting record shows the vast majority of them do that,” Elebash said. “Of the 140 lawmakers who serve in Montgomery, 105 of them—a 75 percent majority—support the small business position 100 percent of the time.” The 2023-24 Voting Record includes eight key votes on issues including tax relief, retail theft, and tort reform. Click here to see the full results and an explanation of the issues. Elebash said the NFIB Voting Record does not reflect every element lawmakers consider when voting, nor does it represent a complete profile of a legislator. It does not include committee actions that were helpful to small businesses.
