The NFIB/Texas Mutual Workers’Compensation Program works to address two key concerns of small business owners – access and affordability of workers’ compensation insurance. Since 2001, the program has supplied workers’ compensation insurance to NFIB members within three safety groups; Construction, Wholesale/Retail, and Manufacturing. NFIB members who join one of the Safety Groups are eligible to:
- Save up to 12.4% on workers’ compensation premiums
- Save an additional 12% premium discount for those who choose quality care for injured workers through the Texas Star Network®
- Earn dividends by controlling workplace accidents* (if eligible and approved by TDI)
- Access to an industry-specific safety plan and other free safety resources
