WASHINGTON, D.C. (Aug. 5, 2022) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB)the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, announced today a national paid advertising effort featuring targeted videos in key states promoting America’s small businesses as the “backbone” of our economy, while urging members of Congress to vote against any new taxes on small businesses. The video ad begins airing this week in Arizona, Florida, Montana, North Carolina, and West Virginia. The campaign will expand into other states in the coming weeks.

Watch the new NFIB ad “Backbone” here:

“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy,” said NFIB President Brad Close. “Small businesses weathered the pandemic and government shutdowns, but now, some members of Congress are supporting new taxes on small businesses to pay for increased government spending, while misleadingly characterizing them as ‘tax loopholes.’ Congress should focus on supporting Main Street and reject any new taxes on small business.”
