NFIB Reacts to Gov. Phil Scott’s Budget Address

On Tuesday, January 26, Governor Phil Scott presented his annual budget address. NFIB’s Vermont State Director Shawn Shouldice said, “The Governor absolutely hit the nail on the head when he said small businesses need help now. Dedicating $10 million in the budget adjustment act will go a long way to provide a lifeline to Vermont’s job creators sooner rather than later.”

Shouldice went on to say, “As the Vermont General Assembly gets down to work, members of NFIB would appreciate it if they acknowledge the struggles small businesses continue to face and support the Governor’s $10 million budget adjustment proposal. The Administration and Legislature must work together in a focused way to put Vermont back on to the road to economic recovery.”

NFIB State Director Shawn Shouldice’s comments on the Governor’s proposal were published by Vermont Business Magazine.
