LINCOLN, Neb., Aug. 10, 2022—NFIB, the nation’s largest and leading small-business association, today thanked U.S. Rep. Don Bacon for accepting its nationally offered Small Business Challenge, an opportunity for elected officials to experience firsthand the daily difficulties of operating an enterprise.

It also thanked NFIB-member-business Rexius Nutrition and owner Tim Rexius for making his warehouse available for the challenge. Rexius started his business from a firm belief in the importance of nutrition and from a disappointment with “what the industry had to offer as far as a retail experience being that most stores were extremely overpriced in comparison to the internet and a general lack of knowledge by the sales associates in the stores who seemed mostly concerned with the selling of the store brand,” according to the company’s website.

Congressman Bacon will work in the warehouse fulfilling orders for customers and learning the challenges many small business owners have today. Following his hands-on experience, he will join other area NFIB members to discuss top issues such as taxes, inflation, labor shortages, supply-chain management, and the latest on the Build Back Better Act.

The event is free to NFIB members, but reservations are required and can be made here. Reporters are invited to attend. For further information, call or email NFIB Senior Grassroots Manager Jake Braunger at 515-243-4723, jake.braunger@nfib.org.
