Governor Chats One-on-One with NFIB Members

Date: February 22, 2024

Small Business Day at the Capitol event also had visits from Lt. Gov. Larry Rhoden and Senate President Lee Schoenbeck

South Dakota’s elected officials hold the state’s small business owners in high regard, and the proof of that is how many of them adjust their busy schedules to make an appearance at NFIB’s annual Small Business Day at the Capitol.

They recognize the event as their opportunity to speak directly to, and hear directly from, the people who are the pulse of every economy in the world—small business owners.

Gov. Kristi Noem, Lt. Gov. Larry Rhoden, and Senate President Lee Schoenbeck all stopped by to converse with NFIB members on February 15. “I can’t think of any other association that offers its members the benefit of a Small Business Day for them to rub shoulders with the policymakers who make the rules and regulations their enterprises must abide by,” said Jason Glodt, NFIB’s South Dakota state director. If you couldn’t make this year’s, please redouble your efforts to attend next year’s Small Business Day. You will not be disappointed.”
