ST. PAUL, MN, July 11, 2022—The political action committee for the National Federation of Independent Businesses in Minnesota, the state’s leading small business association, today announced a second round of endorsements in races for the Minnesota Legislature.
Today’s endorsements of 61 Senate and House incumbents and House members running for the Senate were made by NFIB MN PAC. Combined with the 11 pre-primary endorsements announced June 28, it now brings to 72 the number of legislative endorsements made by the PAC.
State legislative endorsements are decided by the NFIB MN PAC Board, which is comprised of small business owners in the state. Incumbent legislative endorsements are based on the 2021-22 NFIB MN Voting Record. Lawmakers must have a score of 70 percent or better to be considered for an endorsement.
“NFIB MN PAC is pleased to endorse 61 candidates who have the backs of small business,” said John Reynolds, Minnesota state director for NFIB. “Our members understand what’s at stake, are eager to vote, and ready to help build a pro-small business majority in the Minnesota Legislature. The power of the small business voice is one of the most effective election tools any candidate can have.”
NFIB represents over 10,000 small businesses in Minnesota. The NFIB MN PAC endorsement is an important signal to voters across the state that a candidate will stand with small business. Today’s announced endorsements are:
