Nevada Small Businesses Endorse Mark Robertson

CARSON CITY, Nev. (July 28, 2022)The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, today endorsed Mark Robertson for election to the United States House of Representatives to represent Nevada’s 1st Congressional District. “I’m honored to accept the endorsement from the organization that is the voice of small business”, said Colonel Mark Robertson. “I know the challenges of owning and operating a business. My first venture, running an auto repair shop failed. There were times when my tax bills were greater than 100% of my profits. We need to reduce the regulatory and tax burdens on small businesses.” “Mark has learned the hardest lesson of operating a business: having to close it. After his crash course in real-life business, he decided to test the waters again and open a financial planning business that he ran for twenty successful years,” said Randi Thompson, NFIB Nevada State Director. “His business sense will dictate his actions in Congress, where he will fight to reduce the burdens so many small businesses face.” “We are confident Mark Robertson will be a strong supporter of Nevada’s small businesses in Congress,” said Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director. “He understands the issues important to small businesses and we are proud to endorse him today.” Colonel (Ret.) Mark Robertson is a veteran, small business owner, and 30-year resident of Southern Nevada. During his three decades in the Army, Robertson was deployed to ten different countries and was awarded the Bronze Star and Legion of Merit along with several other medals. He’s owned and operated a small business in Henderson for the past twenty years and has taught finance at UNLV. As Republican Nomination for Nevada’s First Congressional District, he’s working to be a strong voice for Southern Nevada families defending freedom and the Constitution in the halls of Congress. The endorsement is issued from NFIB FedPAC, NFIB’s political action committee. NFIB FedPAC is funded by voluntary contributions by NFIB members over and above their membership dues. Decisions made by the NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member-driven grassroots evaluation. ### For more than 75 years, NFIB has been advocating on behalf of America’s small and independent business owners, both in Washington, D.C., and in all 50 state capitals. NFIB is nonprofit, nonpartisan, and member-driven. Since our founding in 1943, NFIB has been exclusively dedicated to small and independent businesses, and remains so today.
