May 31 Compliance Deadline Has Arrived

The first big date in the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment’s FAMLI+ Employer program is here, and businesses with at least one employee must start complying. The voter-approved program will allow workers to take up to 16 weeks of paid leave and will compensate them from contributions made by both employers and employees into a special fund. If you haven’t already registered by the May 31 deadline, NFIB highly encourages you to do so now at this link, where you can also learn more about the program. An NFIB Colorado webinar held in January also answered many questions small-business owners had about the new program and their compliance obligations. Click here to listen.
