SACRAMENTO, Calif., Oct. 17, 2022—The political action committee for California’s largest and leading small-business association today announced its endorsement of Megan Dahle for State Assembly.

“Megan Dahle is more than a small-business owner with a stellar pro-small-business voting record, she is also a small business leader in a Legislature badly in need of more Assembly members like her,” said John Kabateck, California state director for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), speaking for the NFIB CA PAC, which made the endorsement. “Assembly Member Megan Dahle succeeded in keeping one of the most anti-business legislatures in California history from being much worse than it was. She is a true small-business champion.”

The new 1st Assembly District includes all of Alpine, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, and Siskiyou counties and portions of Amador, El Dorado, and Placer counties.

NFIB’s national membership spans the spectrum of business operations, ranging from sole proprietor enterprises to firms with hundreds of employees. While there is no standard definition of a small business, the typical NFIB member employs 10 people and reports gross sales of about $500,000 a year. The NFIB membership is a reflection of American small business. Small-business owners are also a potent political force.
