Candidate called the type of leader Sacramento is in desperate need of
SACRAMENTO, Calif., Sept. 26, 2022—The political action committee for California’s largest and leading small-business association today announced its endorsement of Mark Pazin for State Assembly.
“Mark Pazin is the type of proven leader Sacramento is in desperate need of,” said John Kabateck, California state director for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), speaking for the NFIB CA PAC, which made the endorsement. “Throughout his law enforcement career in both elective and appointive office, he has built coalitions from different groups, reached across political divides to get things done, and unified people to achieve common goals. Our PAC, made up entirely of small-business owners, was very impressed with him. After all, one of the better crime-prevention programs is having a job and burdening small-business owners with more regulations and taxes is no way to create employment opportunities. Mark Pazin is small businesses’ choice for State Assembly.”
The 27th State Assembly District includes parts of Fresno, Madera, and Merced counties.
NFIB’s national membership spans the spectrum of business operations, ranging from sole proprietor enterprises to firms with hundreds of employees. While there is no standard definition of a small business, the typical NFIB member employs 10 people and reports gross sales of about $500,000 a year. The NFIB membership is a reflection of American small business. Small-business owners are also a potent political force.
