Worker Training Grants Now Available in Wisconsin

The Department of Workforce Development has announced it has $5 million available to assist employers with the costs of training workers.

 

According to the Department’s announcement, up to $5 million is available to employers who can demonstrate a “critical need for skilled workers.”  Grant awards range from $5,000 to $400,000 per grantee.

 

The Fast Forward grant program provides funding assistance for employers who develop and implement a skills training program.

 

Department of Workforce Development Secretary-Designee Amy Pechacek said, “the Wisconsin Fast Forward program helps Wisconsin employers provide customized training to fill their open positions.”
