Worker Training Grants Now Available in Wisconsin

Worker Training Grants Now Available in Wisconsin

The Department of Workforce Development has announced it has $5 million available to assist employers with the costs of training workers.   According to the Department’s announcement, up to $5 million is available to employers who can demonstrate a “critical need for skilled workers.”  Grant awards range from $5,000 to $400,000 per grantee.   The Fast Forward grant program provides funding assistance for employers who develop and implement a skills training program.   Department of Workforce Development Secretary-Designee Amy Pechacek said, “the Wisconsin Fast Forward program helps Wisconsin employers provide customized training to fill their open positions.”   Details on who is eligible to apply, application deadlines and award amounts are available at: Wisconsin Fast Forward – Office of Skills Development
