Wisconsin Records Low Unemployment Rate

Date: May 04, 2022

There is some mixed news to report from the Department of Workforce Development – more people are working than before the pandemic, but employers continue to struggle to find workers for job vacancies. The workforce participation rate is stagnant at 66 percent which means the number of people either working or actively seeking work is unchanged since January.

The state’s unemployment rate fell to 2.9 percent, according to the report and employers added more than 20,000 jobs over the previous month.
