NFIB West Virginia member Wylie McDade was featured this morning as a panelist on “FOX & Friends.” McDade, co-owner of Devil’s Due Distillery in Kearneysville, talked about last night’s State of the Union address.
“I didn’t see a whole lot about small business,” McDade said. “You know, we struggle mostly from fuel prices because we rely so much on our just-in-time supply chains … When we started this business, (fuel prices) were in the mid-$2 range. Now, they’re more than double that, and they’re staying up there. They’re affecting every commodity we bring in.
“We’re a production facility … and really rely on our just-in-time supply chains that, I think remain broken.”
McDade testified Monday at a field hearing of the U.S. House Ways & Means Committee in Petersburg. He was among the small business owners featured in NFIB’s recent national TV campaign on the need for federal tax relief. Click here to watch the NFIB ad featuring McDade and Devil’s Due Distillery.
