Small Business Community Endorses 87 Texas Legislative Candidates Ahead of General Election

AUSTIN (Sept. 16, 2024) – The NFIB Texas PAC today endorsed 87 candidates running for seats in the Texas Legislature. The political action committee, comprised solely of NFIB members throughout the state, endorsed 87 pro-small business candidates, including eight Senate candidates and 79 House candidates. “Locally-owned businesses are the foundation of our state’s economy, creating good-paying jobs and thriving communities,” NFIB State Director Jeff Burdett said. “A recent NFIB survey found that ever-increasing costs are taking a serious toll on our small business owners. It’s never been more important to send pro-small business candidates to Austin. These candidates will empower our Main Street employers to do what they do best: create jobs and grow our economy. “On behalf of our small business owner members, I’m proud to announce these endorsements and ask all Texans to support these pro-small business candidates.” Early voting begins on Monday, October 21. Election Day is Tuesday, November 5. For more information on voter registration and other FAQs, visit VoteTexas.gov. The NFIB Texas PAC’s endorsement is important to these campaigns. Small business owners and their employees vote in large numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members, and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB’s political support is based on the candidates’ positions and records on key small-business issues.
