NFIB, an association representing thousands of small and independently-owned businesses in Pennsylvania, announced today that Angela Leopold and Novak Strategic Advisors (NSA) will be supporting NFIB’s advocacy program and legislative priorities in Pennsylvania as the association conducts a comprehensive search and transition process for its next Pennsylvania State Director. Novak Strategic Advisors brings a vast and complementary experience at the state Capitol and will provide assurance that the voice of small business owners are heard by lawmakers on issues that impact their operations, prosperity, and post-COVID recovery. Small businesses contribute significantly to the state’s GDP and bring economic stability, jobs, and vitality to communities across the Commonwealth.

“NFIB is thrilled to have Angela Leopold and the Novak Strategic Advisors’ team providing their advocacy expertise to our Pennsylvania small business members as they continue to navigate the unpredictable challenges brought forth by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said NFIB Senior State Director Greg Biryla. “Angela and her firm bring exceptional government relations experience to the table with a keen eye for the unique opportunities and challenges confronting local job creators. Pennsylvania small businesses have endured state shutdowns, confusing restrictions, and changing compliance requirements during the past year. Now, they are confronting new state budget proposals to raise taxes and possible new mandates. Partnering with the NSA team during NFIB’s transition to its next Pennsylvania State Director will ensure the voice of small business is communicated efficiently and effectively in Harrisburg.”

Novak Strategic Advisors offers comprehensive government affairs and public outreach solutions and tactics to real world business needs. The firm’s track record of accomplishment includes effectively representing small businesses, employer associations, charitable organizations, and corporations across Pennsylvania. As NSA Senior Partner, Angela Leopold directs top to bottom public outreach campaigns, earned and social media strategies, and coalition building activities. She has worked on state and national issues such as healthcare, taxation, energy, and other pro-business focused initiatives.

“Our firm and our team understand the importance of small businesses to local economies and communities across the Commonwealth,” said Angela Leopold. “We look forward to advocating for small business owners who are risk takers, job creators, and community staples. These entrepreneurs are busy people working long hours facing unprecedented challenges and an uncertain future. Working with NFIB, together we will ensure the interests of small businesses are advanced in Harrisburg so they can focus on driving our economic recovery.”

NFIB’s immediate past Pennsylvania State Director, Gordon Denlinger, recently joined the staff of Pennsylvania Auditor General Timothy L. DeFoor. The process to hire a permanent NFIB State Director in Pennsylvania is underway.

Novak Strategic Advisors is also an NFIB member.
