The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, released its biennial voting record for Oklahoma’s 2023-2024 legislative session. The record includes eight key votes on issues ranging from licensing reform to franchise tax cuts. During the session, 109 lawmakers earned 100% on the voting record, including 37 members of the Senate and 72 members of the House Representatives. “As inflation continues to pose a serious challenge to small business owners and consumers alike, it’s critically important that state lawmakers take the time to understand these issues,” NFIB State Director Jerrod Shouse said. “Our members are grateful to the lawmakers who worked to reform our unemployment system, protect against organized retail crime, and promote greater opportunity for hard-working Oklahomans.” The NFIB Voting Record does not reflect every element considered by a legislator when voting or represent a complete profile of the lawmaker. NFIB’s 2024 Voting Record included eight key votes on issues important to small business owners.
