In some jurisdictions, commercial plan review has become an arduous, unpredictable, and expensive process. This law will help greatly reduce the bureaucratic red tape by allowing licensed, professional land surveyors to expedite the plan review to help both commercial and multifamily home builders to be approved in a timely manner.

After three years of being held up by one state senator, this piece of legislation (S677) has finally passed and will go into effect July 1, 2024. This will help save time and money for business owners who are building brick and mortar locations throughout the state. Business owners can now expect a level of predictability throughout the commercial plan review.

Take a moment to thank State Representative Jeff Zenger for his continued commitment to the small business community!
